MC removes 41 encroachments

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The Municipal Corporation, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali, carried out an anti-encroachment operation on Aimanabad Road, Imam Sahib Road and Pul Nala Onek Nika Pura.

Municipal staff, along with officials of the Tehbazari Department and Regulation Wing, took part in the drive.

A total of 35 temporary and six permanent encroachments were removed during the operation.

The administration issued 15 warning notices to violators, imposed fines totaling Rs 30,000, and registered three cases to initiate legal action. Roads, footpaths, and public passages were cleared to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Chief Officer Zubair Wattoo said the operation would continue without discrimination, adding that ensuring public convenience and maintaining traffic flow remained the top priority of the district administration.
