May 10 to be remembered always as day of national pride: Imran Shah

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah on Saturday paid rich tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan and said that May 10 will always be remembered as a day of national pride and courage.

In his message on completion of one year of “Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos — Marka-e-Haq", he said it was the day when the entire nation witnessed its brave falcons bringing the enemy’s arrogance crashing down and every Pakistani held their head high with pride.

The federal minister said that the Pakistan Air Force demonstrated extraordinary confidence, precision and professionalism in responding to enemy aggression, sending a clear message to the world that Pakistan’s defence is in safe and capable hands.

He stated that India attempted to impose pressure through military posturing, advanced weaponry and aggressive rhetoric, but “Marka-e-Haq” shattered that illusion completely.

Syed Imran Ahmad Shah said that this was not merely a military success, but a victory of national unity, public confidence and patriotism.

He said that whenever the sovereignty and dignity of Pakistan are challenged, the nation and its Armed Forces stand together as one voice, and that unity remains Pakistan’s greatest strength.

He further said that the entire nation salutes its martyrs and veterans whose sacrifices safeguarded the honour of the motherland.

He added that the armed forces of Pakistan have always proven themselves not only as defenders of the borders, but also as a symbol of the nation’s trust, dignity and resilience.

The federal minister stated that India’s false propaganda and war-driven narrative now stand exposed before the world, while Pakistan has consistently demonstrated responsibility, restraint and maturity.

He emphasized that Pakistan believes in peace, but will never compromise on its sovereignty, security and national honour.

Concluding his message, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah said that “Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos” will remain a shining example of courage, sacrifice and national resolve for generations to come.
