MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 6th Mar, 2026) Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Masood Khan has warned that the ongoing confrontation involving the United States, Israel, and Iran could have far-reaching strategic, political and economic consequences for the Muslim world and the broader international system.

Speaking during a televised analysis, Khan said that the Muslim world could face significant strategic and economic losses.

He said that the escalating tensions had already begun to destabilize the Gulf region, an area long regarded as a hub of economic growth, social development and relative stability that had traditionally attracted global investment and international business.

Khan noted that retaliatory exchanges between Iran and the United States–Israel alliance had drawn several Gulf states into the crisis, expanding what was initially a localized confrontation into a wider regional security challenge.

S

uch developments, he pointed out threaten the stability of the middle East and risk undermining the economic infrastructure that supports growth across the region.

He said it remained unclear whether the central aim was to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program, pursue regime change, weaken its missile capabilities or reshape the strategic balance of the region.

“That lack of clarity has created confusion not only internationally but also within the United States itself,” he said.

Khan further argued that the conflict reflected a broader shift in the global order.
