Marka-e-Haq Games 2026 conclude with grand Sher-e-Lahore dangal

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) The Marka-e-Haq Games 2026 concluded on Sunday with a grand finale event of Sher-e-Lahore Dangal held at the Punjab Stadium, attracting a large number of sports enthusiasts.

In the title fight, Tayyab Raza Pehlwan defeated M Shuban Pehlwan to secure the championship amid loud cheers and patriotic slogans from the crowd.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar and Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman attended the event as guests of honour. The Sports Minister awarded a cheque of Rs 5.5 lakh to the winning wrestler, while the Chief Secretary distributed prizes among other victorious wrestlers.

Senior officials of the Sports board Punjab and distinguished guests, including renowned wrestlers Inam Butt and Bashir Bhola Bhala, also witnessed the final bouts.

The event was part of Marka-e-Haq Games 2026, organized by the Sports Board Punjab to commemorate Pakistan’s historic victory in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and to promote sports culture across the province.

Spectators enthusiastically chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad” during the bouts, reflecting strong patriotic spirit.

On the occasion, Minister Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs would never be forgotten. He said the games were organized to pay tribute to the armed forces and promote healthy sporting activities among youth. He added that akharas were being established across all tehsils of Punjab to revive traditional wrestling and encourage youth participation in sports, terming sports as a powerful tool for peace and unity.

The minister further said that May 10, 2025, remained a landmark day in national history and such events would project a positive image of Pakistan globally while strengthening national cohesion.

According to results of other bouts, Hira Pehlwan defeated M Usman Pehlwan, Hasan Ali Pehlwan defeated Ali Raza Pehlwan, Hasnain Ali defeated Raheel Ilyas, Nadir Pehlwan defeated Allah Rakha, Akaash Pehlwan defeated Efraheem Pehlwan.
