March 23 vital day in our history, says MPA Gorgaij

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sardar Ubaidullah Gorgaij on Monday said that March 23 is an important day in our history, Pakistan Day is celebrated in memory of the resolution passed in the All India Muslim League meeting on March 23, 1940, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader said that in the light of which the Muslims of the subcontinent had dreamed of a separate homeland for themselves.

He said this while talking to the party workers who met at Gorgaij House, Quetta, Sardar Ubaidullah Gorgaij said that we should all pledge on this occasion that no sacrifice would be spared for the survival of Pakistan. On that day, our leaders started the movement to create this country Pakistan and the Pakistan Resolution was presented on March 23, 1940 and in the backdrop of this resolution.

He said that Pakistan came into existence in 1947, in which immense sacrifices were made. On this day, we need to pledge that we would work together day and night for the development, peace and security of this country.

He stated that national development benefits every citizen, just as national security ensures the safety of us all.

He said that the purpose of celebrating Pakistan Day is to convey a message of love for the ideology of Pakistan and the country, and it is a determination that we would stand side by side with the Pakistan Army to protect the country and could not hesitate to make any sacrifice.

There is no greater agenda than the security of the country. This is a war for the survival of us and our future generations. This is the country, so we are all of us. Therefore, there is nothing more important to us than the security of the country, he said.

The MPA said that for the security of Pakistan, we would have to adopt a unified narrative, going beyond our political and personal interests, so that terrorism could be eradicated from the country and the province.
