Man, two daughters killed as speeding truck hits motorcycle

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) A road accident claimed the lives of a man and his two daughters after a speeding truck ran over their motorcycle near Garmani Adda within the limits of Sinawan Police Station in Kot Addu.

According to police sources, the man, identified as Momin Shah, was on his way to drop his daughters at college when the speeding truck hit their motorcycle. The impact caused the bike to lose control and fall under the truck, killing all three on the spot.

The deceased girls were identified as 16-year-old Moazzama, a first-year student, and 17-year-old Wajeeha, a second-year student. The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the area.

Taking notice of the incident, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ghazi Khan Division, Azhar Ikram, sought a detailed report from the District Police Officer (DPO) Kot Addu. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives and directed strict legal action against the driver responsible for the accident.

On the orders of the DPO Kot Addu, the truck driver has been arrested and the vehicle taken into police custody.

The RPO has further directed all district traffic officers to ensure indiscriminate action against drivers involved in over-speeding and negligent driving to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
