A man allegedly killed three women over a dispute on a marriage proposal in the jurisdiction of Miani Police station on Monday evening

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) A man allegedly killed three women over a dispute on a marriage proposal in the jurisdiction of Miani Police station on Monday evening.

According to police, the accused identified as Ghulam Abbas opened fire and killed his brother's wife Farhat Mohsin, niece Hanaf Mohsin, and maid Noreen Mazhar following a dispute over a marriage proposal and fled from the scene.

The accused was the step paternal uncle of Hanaf, police said.

District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf took notice of the triple murder and formed a team to arrest the accused.

The DPO sought a detailed report from the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Bhera and directed the Station House Officer (SHO) Miani to reach the spot with a heavy police contingent.

According to the spokesperson of police, crime scene units and forensic teams have collected evidence from the site for further investigation.

The police were investigating the matter from all angles, and special teams are conducting raids to arrest the fleeing suspect, the spokesperson added.
