Man injured in suspected revenge shooting near Attock courts

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) A man sustained serious injuries after he was allegedly shot by his brother-in-law near the District Court Complex in Attock on Monday in an incident believed to be linked to a family dispute, police sources said.

According to officials, 33-year-old Nasir Ali suffered a gunshot wound when the suspect allegedly opened fire on him near the district courts. Initial investigations suggested that tensions between the two families had escalated after the accused’s sister filed a family case in court.

Following the incident, Rescue 1122 personnel reached the scene and shifted the injured man to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital after providing first aid. Hospital sources said the victim was receiving medical treatment.

Police cordoned off the area after the shooting and launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities said the suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack, and efforts were underway to arrest him.
