Man held for impersonating sensitive agency officer

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) The Rawat Police arrested a man who falsely claimed to be an officer of a sensitive agency and recovered

a fake identity card and uniform from him, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Friday.

According to the spokesman, a Rawat Police patrolling team stopped the suspect for routine verification, and

he introduced himself as a senior officer of a sensitive agency.

Noticing his suspicious conduct, the policemen conducted further checks, during which the man admitted to

giving false information, the spokesman added.

The Rawat Police registered a case against the suspect and took him into custody. The fake card and uniform

were seized as evidence.
