Man gets life imprisonment in murder case

A local court has awarded life imprisonment and additional penalties to a convict in a murder and attempted murder case, police said

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) A local court has awarded life imprisonment and additional penalties to a convict in a murder and attempted murder case, police said.

The convict, Ali Raza, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a fine of Rs1.0 million in the murder case, along with 10 years imprisonment and Rs500,000.0 fine for attempted murder.

He was also fined Rs200,000.0 in a separate hurt case.

According to details, the convict had opened fire during a minor dispute in May 2022 in the Ratta Amral area, killing one person and injuring another.

City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani appreciated the investigation and legal teams for ensuring conviction through strong evidence and effective prosecution.
