Man dies in house fire

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) A 35-year-old man died after a fire broke out in a house located in Mohallah Naimatpura, near Jinnah Highway, in Gujrat.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the fire started in a room on the first floor of the house due to unknown reasons, causing heavy smoke to spread in the area.

Rescue teams reached the spot and brought the blaze under control after conducting a firefighting operation.

Family members told rescuers that Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad, was present inside the room and failed to escape.

Rescue officials said the body was recovered from the room. He had suffered severe burn injuries. Further investigation is underway.
