Man arrested over assaulting woman

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) Gulberg police arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a woman and hurling threats of dire consequences over a petty issue.

Police said here on Monday that taking immediate notice of the incident, City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar ordered prompt action to ensure arrest of the suspect.

Therefore, the team conducted raid and apprehended the accused Mudassar who subjected a woman,Maryam to violence and threatened her with serious consequences over a minor issue.

Further investigation was underway.
