Man arrested hours after brutally killing his mother

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) The district police have arrested a man within hours after he allegedly murdered his mother with an axe in the Baghwani area in the limits of Dera Town police station.

According to police, the arrest was made during a swift operation led by Station House Officer (SHO) Dera Town Khalid Javed Lashari under the special instructions of District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed.

The suspect, identified as Naimatullah son of Bashir Khan, a resident of Baghwani and belonged to the Baloch tribe, allegedly killed his mother by striking her with an axe.

Acting promptly on the incident, SHO Khalid Javed Lashari along with his team launched a search operation and managed to arrest the accused within a few hours. The police also recovered the murder weapon from his possession.

The suspect has been taken into custody and a case has been registered against him. Further investigation is underway.
