Man arrested for murder over minor dispute in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) Police have arrested a man involved in the murder of a citizen who was stabbed to death following a minor altercation a week ago.

According to police, the suspect was taken into custody using human intelligence and all available resources by Waris Khan police during a targeted operation. The accused had allegedly attacked the victim with a knife after a brief exchange of harsh words, leading to the victim’s death.

Police said efforts are underway to arrest the suspect’s accomplices, who were also involved in the incident.

SP Rawal Saad Arshad stated that the arrested suspect will be challaned with solid evidence to ensure strict punishment under the law.

Likewise, Pirwadhai Police have arrested a drug supplier and recovered 1 kilogram of heroin during a crackdown.

During initial investigation, the suspect revealed plans to supply drugs across the city during Eid. Police further stated that the accused is habitual offender and previously been involved in narcotics cases and awarded jail sentences.
