Man arrested for making fake robbery call on emergency Helpline 15 in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2026) City Police have arrested a man for allegedly making a fake robbery call on the emergency helpline 15 regarding a shop robbery.

According to police, officers reached the spot after receiving the emergency call and conducted an inquiry.

During the investigation, it was found that no robbery had taken place, while the caller was involved in a dispute with his brothers over a jointly owned shop.

City Police registered a case against the suspect for making a false emergency call and arrested him.

SP Rawal Saad Arshad said the emergency helpline 15 is a vital facility provided to citizens for assistance during emergencies, and strict action would be taken against those who misuse it.
