Man arrested for brandishing arms on social media

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Kohat police here on Saturday arrested a man for brandishing arms on social media platforms, recovering arms from his possession.

According to details, a team of Lachi Police led by SHO Lachi Masood apprehended a man who was creating fear among locals by displaying arms on social media.

The arrested, identified as Naveed, has been shifted to Lachi Police Station where a case has been registered against him for starting legal proceedings.

DPO has reaffirmed that strict and indiscriminate action will continue against those misusing social media for illegal activities. He emphasized that such elements will be dealt with to ensure peace and public safety in the district.
