Man arrested for allegedly killing sister following minor altercation

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2026) Police have arrested a man accused of killing his sister in a shooting incident that occurred five days ago following a minor verbal dispute in the jurisdiction of Chontra police station here on Sunday.

According to police spokesperson, the suspect allegedly opened fire on his sister after an argument, resulting in her death. Following the incident, the accused went into hiding to evade arrest.

A police team launched an investigation and successfully traced and apprehended the suspect using human intelligence and other investigative resources.

SP Saddar Anum Sher said the accused would be presented before the court with solid evidence and that all legal requirements would be fulfilled to ensure appropriate punishment under the law.

Police reiterated their commitment to pursuing offenders involved in serious crimes and ensuring justice for victims and their families.
