Major search and strike operation launched in Kurram

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) A large-scale search and strike operation was carried out by the police in Kurram district to ensure peace and stability, resulting in the detention of several suspects for investigation.

According to Khurram police on Wednesday, the operation was conducted within the jurisdiction of Dogar Police Station, where joint security forces targeted Khormana and its surrounding areas.

A heavy contingent of police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel took part in the operation.

The police cordoned off the area and carried out house-to-house searches. During the operation several suspected individuals were taken into custody and interrogation is currently underway.

The District Police Officer (DPO) Kurram stated that such targeted operations will continue in order to eliminate criminal elements and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
