KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) The main mourning procession of the 8th of Muharram-ul-Haram, after passing through its traditional route concluded safely and peacefully upon reaching the Husseiniya Irania Imambara Kharadar here on Wednesday.

Before the procession, a Majlis was held at Nishtar Park at 12:05 pm, addressed by promient scholar Allama Syed Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi.

At the conclusion of the Majlis, the main procession emerged from the Nister Park set off along its designated route through M.

A.Jinnah Road.

Foolproof security arrangements were put in place by the Karachi Police and the main procession was also monitored from a Command and Control Room.

Earlier, SSP district East Zubair Nazir conducted a detailed inspection of the security measures along the main procession's route and in the surrounding areas.

He visited the control room established at Nishtar Park and Nishtar Base, and also conducted a detailed inspection of the CCTV monitoring system.
