M/o FE&PT, Cisco to organise capability building training in Cybersecurity, Modern AI & Digital Safety

The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (M/o FE&PT), in collaboration with Cisco Networking Academy, has launched a comprehensive capacity-building initiative to equip HR personnel with essential knowledge in Cybersecurity, Modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Safety

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) The Ministry of Federal education and Professional Training (M/o FE&PT), in collaboration with Cisco Networking academy, has launched a comprehensive capacity-building initiative to equip HR personnel with essential knowledge in Cybersecurity, Modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Safety.

According to a notification issued on Thursday by the Islamabad Capital Territory - Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority, the initiative has been undertaken in compliance with the Prime Minister’s directive aimed at strengthening cybersecurity measures and safeguarding institutional cyberspace.

The notification highlighted that the rapid expansion in the use of Artificial Intelligence and digital platforms in office operations has significantly increased the risks of cyber threats, hacking and data breaches.

It stressed the urgent need to enhance institutional preparedness and strengthen digital resilience across educational institutions.

In this regard, the management of Private Educational Institutions (PEIs) operating in Islamabad Capital Territory has been directed to ensure that all teaching and non-teaching staff members who use computers, official email systems, digital platforms, and Android/iOS mobile devices for institutional work mandatorily enroll in and complete the prescribed online training courses in Cybersecurity and Digital Safety by March 8, 2026.

Furthermore, all students from Grade 9 onward are required to enroll and activate their accounts by March 8, 2026, enabling them to complete the assigned courses during summer vacations or after final examinations.
