Lyallpur Museum playing key role in highlighting cultural identity of district: AC

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) Assistant Commissioner (General) Farhad Danish has said that the Lyallpur Museum is playing an important role in highlighting the cultural identity of the district.

During his visit to the museum with Director Lyallpur Museum Maqbool Ahmed Malik here on Friday, he said that such institutions keep nations connected to their roots and provide awareness to the younger generation about their past.

Farhad said that Lyallpur Museum is not just an exhibition hall for antiques but is a mirror institution of the history, culture and cultural heritage of the city.

He inspected various galleries of the museum and expressed deep interest in the rare antiques, traditional handicrafts and objects that reflect the ancient lifestyle preserved there.

Director Lyallpur Museum Maqbool Ahmed Malik informed about the historical antiques in the museum, memorabilia related to the establishment of Lyallpur, ancient handicrafts and various aspects of the cultural history of the region.

He said that Lyallpur Museum is important means of preserving the cultural identity of the city as well as connecting the new generation with its past.
