Collection reflects a shift in luxury fashion towards more wearable

A new wave of menswear collection for the upcoming spring and summer season has brought a fresh focus on simple, street inspired fashion.

Unveiled at Milan Fashion Week, the collection was designed by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, who aimed to create clothing that feels natural for everyday life rather than only for fashion shows. The designers presented slim, cropped jackets and five pocket trousers, often paired with classic blazers or leather outerwear, giving the line a clean and modern look.

The collection mainly used leather and technical fabrics in soft monochrome shades like white, grey, burgundy, and turquoise. Some outfits also featured light, transparent materials, made to reflect recent hot weather conditions. Only a few designs included traditional denim, even though jeans were the main inspiration behind the collection.

The designers said their goal was to return fashion to real life dressing. They focused on comfort, simplicity, and practical style. According to Simons, the idea was to move away from “unnecessary design” and bring back strong, everyday silhouettes that people can actually wear on the streets.

The show also had a simple setup with a clean runway space and clear seating, keeping attention on the clothes. Overall, the collection reflects a shift in luxury fashion towards more wearable, relaxed, and street friendly designs that connect high end brands with everyday style.
