LUH declares emergency till 12th Muharram

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jun, 2026) The Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) has imposed a medical emergency till June 28 in view of the days of Ashura.The LUH's spokesman informed here on Saturday that the Medical Superintendent Dr Syed Irshad Hussain Kazmi has cancelled leaves of all the doctors, nurses and paramedics .

He added that the doctors had been directed to ensure round the clock medical services at the hospital.He told that the LUH's medical teams and ambulances would also be deployed in the field on the 9th and 10th days of Muharram along the routes of the processions.According to him, an emergency had been declared in both Hyderabad and Jamshoro branches of the LUH.
