Livestock genetic training session held in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) A training session regarding the project for the supply of exotic semen for genetic improvement of nondescript livestock was held at the seminar room of the Directorate of Livestock Office Gujrat under the chairmanship of Additional Director Livestock Gujrat Dr Tahir Aziz.

According to official sources, livestock officers and technicians from across the district participated in the session. On this occasion, a two-member delegation from the Directorate of Breed Improvement Lahore gave a detailed briefing on the objectives, methodology, and expected benefits of the project.

The experts said the programme aims to improve the breed of nondescript livestock in order to increase milk and meat production and enhance overall productivity of the livestock sector.

Addressing the session, Dr. Tahir Aziz urged the participants to utilise their professional skills for the effective implementation of the project so that livestock farmers could fully benefit from the initiative.
