Life term awarded in murder case

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) Additional Sessions Judge Rao Mubashir Hassan has awarded life imprisonment to an accused involved in a murder case of Thikriwala police station.

According to the prosecution, accused Jawad Yaqoob had poisoned to death his rival Sanaullah to avenge an old enmity some years ago.

After observing evidence and witnesses, the learned judge awarded life imprisonment to accused Jawad Yaqoob and imposed a fine of Rs.200,000.

City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar said that punishment to criminals involved in heinous crimes was a victory of justice and truth.

He appreciated the investigation and prosecution teams for pursuing the case professionally and said that the police remained committed to ensuring that offenders were brought to justice through strong evidence and lawful procedures.
