LHC orders removal of Usman Dar’s name from ECL

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday ordered the removal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Dar’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

Justice Sajid Mahmood Sethi announced the verdict while deciding a petition filed by Usman Dar, challenging the inclusion of his name on the ECL.

Advocate Abuzar Salman Khan Niazi represented the petitioner and presented arguments before the court.

The court declared the notification placing Usman Dar’s name on the ECL illegal and directed the authorities concerned to immediately remove his name from the list.
