LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana, Ahmed Chaudhry QPM, PSP has issued the security order for Muharram-ul-Haram on Wednesday.
According to the security order, more than 3,300 police officers and personnel of Larkana Police, including 200 female officers, will be deployed for the security of 159 mourning processions and 181 religious congregations across the district.
As per the security order issued by SSP Larkana, from the start to the end of Muharram-ul-Haram, 08 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 14 Inspectors, 105 Sub-Inspectors, 395 ASIs, 482 Head Constables, and 2306 Constables would perform their duties at various Imambargahs and along the routes of mourning processions. Additionally, officers and personnel of Pakistan Army and Sindh Rangers would also remain present at all times to perform their duties.
According to the security order, anti-riot reserve platoons have also been kept on standby at Police Headquarters Larkana to deal with any untoward situation. Expert snipers with modern binoculars would be deployed on high-rise buildings along the routes of the main mourning processions.
A joint control room of police and civil administration was being established to monitor all situations, while a Command and Control Room has also been set up at SSP Office Larkana.

SSP Larkana has issued orders under the Temporary Residence Act to ensure the registration of nomadic people, as well as guests staying in hotels, inns, camps, and resting places, or those arriving from outside, at their nearest police stations. Individuals who fail to get registered would be held responsible.
SSP Larkana has also issued orders to stop the unnecessary use of loudspeakers, remove inflammatory wall chalking and banners, and maintain continuous contact with religious leaders. Relevant Sub Divisional Police Officers (SDPO) have been issued necessary instructions for the supervision of nine sensitive congregations and nine sensitive mourning processions across the district.
On this occasion SSP Larkana Ahmed Chaudhry QPM, PSP said that all stakeholders should play their full role in maintaining religious tolerance and implementing the code of conduct, and prove themselves to be responsible citizens by fully cooperating with the police administration.
