Lady constable allegedly tortured in Talamba

MIAN CHANNU, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) A lady constable was allegedly subjected to torture in an incident reported in Talamba, a small town near Mian Channu.

The accused were booked on the complaint of the victim constable, Zakia, through an application filed at the Talamba Police Station, where police have launched an investigation.

SHO Talamba Police Station Arsalan Amjad said those found involved in the crime would be dealt with strictly and in accordance with the law. He vowed that the accused would be treated with an iron hand.

District Police Officer Mohammed Abid said the accused would be arrested and brought to the dock, assuring that justice would prevail at any cost.

Neither the DPO nor the SHO revealed the reasons behind the incident that led to the alleged torture of the lady constable. The DPO added that the investigation is being carried out from all possible angles.
