KUST issued NOC for 150 nursing seats

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) The health authorities have granted No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Nursing Department of Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST) for 150 seats of nurses.

According to official sources on Friday, the Nursing Department has been granted NOC approval for 150 seats, a development widely welcomed by students and parents. The approval follows months of continuous advocacy by nursing students and their representatives who highlighted the academic and professional challenges caused by the delay.

Local public representative, MPA, Jamila Paracha also play a role to address long standing demand of students and their parents. Meanwhile, students and faculty members have extended gratitude to authorities for historic achievement and said that it would strengthen the future of nursing education in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

They said that issuance of NOC for 150 seats was expected to enhance opportunities for aspiring nurses, improve the availability of trained healthcare professionals and contribute to the overall development of the health sector.
