KPRA resumes enforcement drive in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority, (KPRA) resumed enforcement drive in the provincial capital by deployment of a monitoring team at the business premises of a renowned restaurant operating two branches at Hayatabad, Peshawar.

On the directives of the Additional Collector (Central) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA), Abdul Raziq Khan, the Non-Corporate Team, led by the Deputy Collector (Non-Corporate), Muhammad Hassan Khan, along with Assistant Collectors Khalid Mansoor, Imran Ahmed and Shahnawaz Hassan formally resumed the enforcement drive.

The team has been tasked to observe, record and verify the business activities carried out at the premises, with a view to ascertain the actual quantum of taxable services.

This exercise is intended to detect any suppression of sales or instances of tax evasion, prior to initiation of appropriate legal proceedings for recovery under the relevant provisions of the law.

The Additional Collector (Central) has directed that the ongoing enforcement drive forms part of a broader strategy to ensure compliance across the Peshawar Region, particularly in cases involving failure to properly charge, collect and deposit sales tax into the Government exchequer.

All service providers are hereby directed to issue proper sales tax invoices strictly in accordance with the provisions of the KP Sales Tax on Services Act, 2022 and the rules made thereunder.

Any deviation, suppression of sales or tax evasion detected shall entail strict action under the relevant provisions of the law.
