KPRA conducts third lucky draw of consumer rewards scheme

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Director General (DG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) Miss Irum Naz conducted the third lucky draw of KPRA’s Consumer Rewards Scheme on Tuesday and selected 50 winners through a transparent digital process.

Collector Sales Tax on Services, Mr. Muhammad Abbas Khan, Director Legal Mr. Naimatullah, Director Admin, HR and Coordination Miss Asma Khyber, Director Inquiry, Investigation and Tax Audit Mr. Pir Muhammad Mehsud, and Director ICT Mr.

Aftab Ahmad were also present on the occasion. The DG KPRA conducted the lucky draw using specially developed software to ensure transparency in the selection process. Each winner will receive Rs10,000 from KPRA through a cheque.

The Consumer Rewards Scheme was launched by KPRA in February 2026 across four districts, including Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, and Haripur, covering selected hotels and restaurants. KPRA has already conducted two lucky draws under the scheme, while a cheque distribution ceremony was held last month at the KPRA headquarters, where Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance Muzzammil Aslam distributed cheques among the winners.

A total of 264 invoices were received from April 16 to May 15, 2026, for the third lucky draw, from which 50 winners were selected by the DG KPRA and her team.

Speaking on the occasion, DG KPRA Miss Irum Naz congratulated the winners and said the initiative aims to encourage consumers to demand proper tax documentation and ensure that collected taxes are duly deposited into the government treasury.

She added that the fourth lucky draw under the ongoing scheme will be conducted next month, in which another 50 winners will receive prizes.

She emphasized that the public should actively participate in the scheme by sending invoices to KPRA and play their role in curbing tax evasion while also getting a chance to win rewards.

“KPRA empowers citizens to act as watchdogs against tax fraud and evasion. Every invoice shared with KPRA helps the Authority curb tax evasion,” she concluded.
