ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Friday warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaff in Khaber Pakhtoonkwa (KPK) to fully implement the federal government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and act with seriousness, stressing that while our armed forces sacrifice their lives for national security, laxity or defiance would not be tolerated.

While speaking to a news channel, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said while there might be debates about terrorism, KPK should recognize the sacrifices of the armed forces, noting that more than 8,200 personnel have been martyred in the fight against terrorism in the province.

He emphasized that this reflects the active and ongoing role of the military in ensuring national security.

He added that this time, instead of politics, everyone should collectively play their role. The federal minister urged KPK to stand united and allow operations to proceed in line with the federal government’s anti-terrorism policy, stressing that full cooperation and strict enforcement are essential to effectively combat terrorism and honor the sacrifices of the armed forces.

Talking about Afghanistan, he said Pakistan’s forces took timely action against terrorist hideouts. He added that Afghanistan was repeatedly warned, but it neither ensured action nor provided any guarantees.

He stressed that despite these warnings, Pakistan acted decisively to protect national security and curb terrorism in the region.

He said Pakistan would not compromise anymore, signaling a firm stance against terrorism and any threats to national security.

Responding to a query about Nehal Hashmi, the Governor of Sindh, he asserted that any reservations from Muthahida Qomi Movement or Pakistan Peoples Party would be addressed immediately, emphasizing that both parties were key coalition partners whose concerns could not be ignored.

He further stated that the Prime Minister consistently considered their positions and opposition seriously while taking decisions, underlining the government’s commitment to inclusive governance and accountability.
