KP launches mobile app to digitise water services, public complaints

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jun, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Health Engineering Department has launched a new mobile application aimed at improving public access to water-related services and strengthening digital governance across the province.

Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan formally inaugurated the application and was briefed by departmental officials on its features and public service benefits.

According to the briefing, the mobile app enables consumers to view water bills and outstanding dues online. Developed in both urdu and English, the application also allows users to register complaints related to water supply and Public Health Engineering schemes through a digital platform.

Officials said consumers would be able to track the progress of their complaints directly through the application, making service delivery faster, easier and more transparent.

Speaking on the occasion, Fazal Shakoor Khan said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was taking practical steps to promote digital governance and improve public service delivery through modern technology.

He added that the initiative would strengthen departmental performance, transparency and accountability.

The minister directed relevant authorities to ensure prompt resolution of public complaints and called for adding more advanced features to the application to maximise public benefit.

He said the department was being aligned with modern requirements through citizen-focused reforms.
