KP govt starts early disbursement of salaries ahead of Eid

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance, Muzzammil on Friday said keeping in view the upcoming Eid festival and in compliance with the directives of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, the provincial Finance Department has started disbursement of March salaries from March 13.

Talking to media, he said the process of salary payments would continue until March 17 so that government employees could meet their financial needs ahead of Eid.

The Advisor said that in February 2024 the province did not have sufficient funds to pay even one month’s salary. However, he added that by the grace of Almighty Allah the provincial government was now releasing salaries in advance without any financial difficulty.
