KP Govt reaffirms commitment to workers’ welfare on labour day

development on the occasion of Labour Day.

In his message, he said that workers are the backbone of society and their dedication and hard work are essential for achieving progress and prosperity.

He noted that Labour Day serves as a reminder of the need to ensure protection of workers’ rights, fair wages, safe working conditions, and dignified employment opportunities.

Shafi Jan said the provincial government is taking concrete steps for the welfare of labourers through effective implementation of labour laws, provision of social security, and improved access to health, education, and other basic facilities.

He added that the minimum wage in the province has been set at Rs. 40,000, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring economic protection for workers.

He emphasized that a strong and prosperous Pakistan depends on a secure and empowered labour force.
