KP govt notifies transfers, postings of officers of Prison dept

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home and Tribal Affairs Department on Tuesday issued a formal notification regarding

transfers and postings of prison officers across the province.

According to the notification, the orders have been issued in the public interest and will take immediate effect.

Under the reshuffle, Muhammad Naeem, Superintendent Jail, has been transferred from DIG Regional Prisons

Office, Peshawar (OPS), and posted as Assistant Inspector General of Prisons at the Regional Prisons Office, Abbottabad/Haripur.

Similarly, Baitullah Khan, Superintendent Jail, has been transferred from DIG Regional Prisons Office, Swat (OPS),

and appointed as DIG Regional Prisons Office, Peshawar (OPS).

Bakht Rawan, Superintendent Jail, has been

moved from Assistant Inspector General of Prisons, Regional Prisons Office, Swat, and posted as DIG Regional

Prisons Office, Swat.

Meanwhile, Abdul Bari, Superintendent Jail, who was awaiting posting at the Inspectorate General of Prisons,

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar, and was drawing his salary from District Jail Chitral, has been appointed as

Assistant Inspector General of Prisons, Regional Prisons Office, Mardan.

Copies of the notification have been circulated to the relevant authorities, while the concerned officers have been

directed to assume their new responsibilities with immediate effect.
