PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Home and Tribal Affairs Tariq Saeed Marwat on Thursday formally inaugurated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Helpline (PEHL-911), a unified emergency response system aimed at providing citizens with quick access to essential emergency services across the province.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the special assistant said that citizens can now reach the police, Rescue, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), and other emergency services by simply dialing 911.
He said the modern, integrated helpline would remain operational round the clock and ensure timely emergency response, particularly for people living in remote and underserved areas of the province.

He directed the relevant authorities to ensure effective monitoring, tracking and follow-up of all calls received through the helpline so that people could receive prompt, efficient and high-quality emergency assistance.
The launch of PEHL-911 is expected to improve coordination among emergency response agencies and enhance the overall delivery of emergency services across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
