KP Excise Department recovers 1kg ice drug, liquor in operations

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, carried out effective operations against narcotics under the Excise Police Station Peshawar Region, recovering a significant quantity of ice (crystal meth) and liquor, and arresting the accused.

According to details received from the department, the Excise Police Station Peshawar Region, acting on a tip-off, conducted an operation near H Gol Chowk, Peshawar. During the search of a suspect, 1005 grams of ice were recovered from his possession.

The accused was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Muhammad Shahid, resident of Bara, and was arrested on the spot.

A case has been registered against him at the Excise Police Station Peshawar Region, and further investigation and legal proceedings have been initiated.

Meanwhile, in another operation, the Excise team recovered three bottles of liquor and arrested an accused.

A case has also been registered in this regard, and further legal action is underway.

According to Excise Department officials, indiscriminate operations against narcotics will continue, and all possible measures are being taken to eliminate this menace from society.
