PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Friday expressed deep grief over the passenger bus accident involving a vehicle travelling from Quetta and directed authorities to ensure swift rescue and relief operations.
According to a spokesperson for the CM's House, Sohail Afridi directed Rescue 1122, the district administration, and all relevant departments to continue rescue and relief operations without delay.
He said any negligence or unnecessary delay in the rescue operation would not be tolerated and instructed authorities to ensure the provision of the best possible medical treatment to the injured.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Afridi further directed all concerned Rescue 1122 teams to remain in close coordination with emergency services in Balochistan.
He also ordered officials to immediately identify victims belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and establish contact with their families.
The CM instructed the authorities to ensure that the bodies of deceased victims from KP are transported to their native areas with due respect and dignity.
He also directed that every possible assistance and facilitation be provided to the affected families during this difficult time.
