KP CM condemns Quetts blast, describes it as cowardly act

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi Sunday strongly condemned recent terrorist attack in Chaman Phatak, Quetta, describing cowardly act as a serious crime against humanity.

Expressing his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to families of victims, he said that targeting innocent civilians reflects brutality. He also prayed for martyrs and patience for their families and complete recovery injured in the blast.

Highlighting broader national security challenge, Chief Minister Afridi said that terrorism is not a problem confined to any single province or region but is a threat facing the entire country.

To completely eradicate this scourge, he stressed that a coordinated, joint, and long-term strategy is absolutely indispensable.

In a final expression of solidarity, he affirmed that government and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa equally share profound grief of people of Balochistan over this tragic tragedy.
