Kot Addu police get crime scene protection kits

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) Police in Kot Addu district have taken a significant step towards improving crime scene management by equipping police vehicles with modern crime scene protection kits.

Police spokesman said, the initiative was taken on the orders of DPO Kot Addu as per vision of the Inspector General of Police Punjab to ensure effective protection of crime scenes across the district.

A total of 16 vehicles of eight police stations and two vehicles of two police posts have been provided with complete crime scene protection kits.

Overall, 18 police vehicles are now equipped with modern kits, including traffic cones, protection tape and evidence markers.

The spokesman said the provision of these kits would enable first responders to secure crime scenes promptly and professionally upon arrival.

He added that the initiative would play a vital role in the proper preservation of forensic evidence and help ensure stronger prosecution and judicial proceedings in criminal cases.
