Korean delegation explores historic sites

HARIPUR:

A high-profile delegation from South Korea visited the historic city of Taxila, where they were briefed on the region's role in preserving history, culture and civilisation.

The delegation included the vice chancellor of a renowned South Korean university who previously served as the country's education minister. The visit aimed to promote historical and cultural ties and explore new avenues for cooperation.

The visitors toured the Taxila Museum, where they received a detailed briefing on the Gandhara civilisation, Buddhist relics and the region's ancient history.

Members of the delegation expressed keen interest in Taxila's internationally renowned heritage and appreciated its significance.

The delegation later visited the Gandhara Art Village, where they were introduced to local arts, traditional crafts and cultural practices.
