Kohat police arrest proclaimed offenders, seize weapons in separate operations

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Kohat Police on Monday claimed to have arrested proclaimed offenders and recovered weapons during separate operations carried out in different areas of the district on the directives of District Police Officer Shahbaz Elahi.

According to police officials, SHO MRS Police Station Abdul Rauf Bangash, along with his team, conducted a raid and apprehended a proclaimed offender identified as Tayyab, who was wanted in a robbery case. Police said weapons were also recovered from the accused during the operation.

In another action, police patrol teams arrested an armed suspect identified as Zahid in the Bazid Khel area. Officials said a Kalashnikov rifle and a pistol were seized from his possession during the search operation.

Both suspects were shifted to MRS Police Station where separate cases were registered against them, while further investigations were underway. Police officials reiterated their resolve to continue indiscriminate action against criminal elements to maintain law and order in Kohat.
