Kohat Police arrest five, seize weapons and Methamphetamine in search operation

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jul, 2026) Kohat Police arrested five suspects and recovered weapons and narcotics during a search and combing operation carried out in the jurisdiction of Jarma Police Station on Saturday as part of an intensified campaign against criminal activity.

The operation was conducted on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Shahbaz Ilahi and led by Station House Officer (SHO) Iqbal Khan. According to police, the operation resulted in the alleged recovery of two Kalashnikov rifles, three rifles, one pistol and 50 grams of methamphetamine, commonly known as "ice."

Police said separate cases had been registered against the arrested suspects under the relevant laws, while the recovered weapons and narcotics were taken into custody as evidence.

The allegations are based on police claims, and the suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

In addition, six individuals were detained for questioning and verification of their identities as security personnel conducted searches at various locations to strengthen law and order. Police said such operations would continue across the district to curb crime and enhance public safety.
