Kohat authorities disconnect illegal water connections to improve drinking water supply

Authorities in Kohat have removed six illegal water connections in the Kagazai area as part of efforts to improve access to safe drinking water and ensure a fair distribution of supply to residents

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jul, 2026) Authorities in Kohat have removed six illegal water connections in the Kagazai area as part of efforts to improve access to safe drinking water and ensure a fair distribution of supply to residents.

The action followed complaints raised by residents during the recent anti-polio campaign, when they informed Additional Assistant Commissioner-II Arooba Iftikhar about persistent shortages of drinking water on Thursday. The official assured the community that prompt measures would be taken to address the issue.

Acting on the directives, the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department's Sub-Divisional Officer, accompanied by his team, conducted an operation at the Mangli Ghunday Drinking Water Supply Scheme, disconnecting six unauthorized connections from the rising main pipeline.
