KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jun, 2026) The district administration has stepped up efforts to eliminate child labour and improve public service delivery under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nawaz. The initiatives include strengthening enforcement against child exploitation and reviewing the performance of government service centres to ensure better facilities for citizens.
In this regard on Monday, a meeting of the District Vigilance Committee was held under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning), with officials from the district administration, Kohat Police and other relevant departments in attendance. The committee devised a coordinated strategy to curb forced child labour and human trafficking, stressing the need to identify those exploiting children and initiate strict legal action against the offenders.
The administration also appealed to the public to report incidents of child labour to the Deputy Commissioner's Office Control Room at 0922-920268 and 0922-920032.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>In a separate development, Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Ibrahim Khan visited the Service Delivery Center (SDC) in Kohat on Monday to assess its operational performance. Accompanied by the Tehsildar (SDC), Girdawar and other officials, he inspected office records and reviewed the quality of services being provided to the public.
During the inspection, the Additional Assistant Commissioner directed the staff to ensure the provision of maximum facilities to citizens, make the Service Delivery Center more efficient and proactive, and address public complaints in a timely, transparent and professional manner. He reaffirmed the district administration's commitment to improving governance and delivering efficient public services.
