KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) The district administration in Kohat intensified inspections across various sectors under the Service Delivery Agenda on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz to ensure transparency, public welfare, and improved civic facilities.

In this regard on Monday, Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hamza Mutahar inspected the Chicken Market where he reviewed the quality of meat, poultry, vegetables, and fruits, besides taking action against the sale of illegal cigarettes. Several shopkeepers were fined and warned, while substandard items and unlawful cigarettes were confiscated. Officials also examined cleanliness arrangements, price lists, weight standards, and overall food quality during the inspection.

Separately, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gumbat Syed Mukhtiar Shah visited the Women and Children Family Park at Babri Banda to assess sanitation, security, plantation, lawn maintenance, and recreational facilities.

He directed the staff to further improve maintenance and ensure a family-friendly environment. The officer also inspected Government Higher Secondary school Comprehensive and Government Higher Secondary School Togh Bala on Pindi Road, where he reviewed cleanliness, attendance, academic conditions, and examination arrangements, stressing transparency, discipline, and merit during exams.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz held an open public meeting at his office, where citizens presented complaints and requests regarding civic issues. He directed the relevant departments to resolve public grievances without delay and warned that negligence in service delivery would not be tolerated. Officials said the inspections were part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and improve facilities for residents across the district.
