Kohat administration reviews revenue performance, intensifies market inspections

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) A high-level revenue review meeting was held in Kohat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz to assess the performance of revenue departments and discuss measures aimed at improving public service delivery.

The meeting was attended by assistant commissioners, revenue officers and other officials, who presented detailed briefings on the performance of their respective tehsils. During the session, the Deputy Director (Database) also informed participants about progress on the ongoing computerization of land records across the district.

Deputy Commissioner Nawaz directed officials to ensure timely provision of revenue services and easy public access to land records and certified copies.

He stressed that maximum facilitation should be provided to citizens in all revenue-related matters to improve transparency and efficiency.

Meanwhile, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gumbat Syed Mukhtiar Shah carried out inspections in College Town and Togh Bazaar, reviewing bakeries, food stalls and other businesses for compliance with official price lists and hygiene standards. He also examined the quality of cooking oil and checked expiry dates of food items, warning traders that strict legal action would be taken against violations, overpricing, unhygienic conditions and encroachments.
