KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, district administration officials on Tuesday launched a series of surprise inspections across revenue offices, markets and public service areas to address irregularities and ensure enforcement of regulations.

During a visit to the Patwar Khana circles of Pir Khel and Dhodha, Additional Assistant Commissioner-II Aruba Iftikhar examined land revenue records, including Girdawari documentation. Officials identified several irregularities, prompting strict warnings to staff for immediate correction, while concerned personnel were summoned for a detailed inquiry along with their records.

In a parallel operation, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gumbat Syed Mukhtiar Shah led a crackdown in Gumbat Bazaar, focusing on enforcement of official price lists, sanitation standards, and removal of encroachments.

Multiple shopkeepers were fined for illegally occupying public space and obstructing pedestrian movement.

Separately, Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hamza Mutahhar conducted inspections in KDA area following complaints registered on the Pakistan Citizen Portal. food outlets, naan shops, and vegetable vendors were checked for hygiene, pricing accuracy, and weighing standards, with fines imposed where violations were confirmed. The administration warned that stricter action would follow in case of continued non-compliance.
