Kohat administration intensifies crackdown on encroachments

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kohat, the district administration has accelerated efforts to ensure price stability, hygiene and the removal of encroachments from the district.

Assistant Commissioner Gambatt, Syed Mukhtiar Shah conducted a surprise inspection of Cadet College Chowk and the Pindi Road bazaar.

During visit, the administration evaluated implementation of official price lists of essential commodities and inspected overall cleanliness of the commercial areas.

During inspection, several shopkeepers were found guilty of ignoring official pricing guidelines and were subsequently subjected to legal action.

Furthermore, temporary encroachments hindering public movement and causing traffic congestion were removed by the municipal teams.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner (HQ) Kohat, Naveed Ahmad inspected various Imambargahs in the district. Accompanied by local stakeholders, he reviewed sanitation situation and waste management systems in the vicinity of these sites.

He directed relevant municipal staff to ensure regular garbage collection and maintain high hygiene standards. He reiterated commitment to providing a clean environment for citizens and vowed to continue monitoring efforts across all sectors of the district.
